Why You NEED to Advertise on All Social Media Platforms
I’m going to come out and say it. If you aren’t actively advertising on social media, you may be doing something wrong. Social media has become one of the biggest ways to advertise your business at a super low price. In 2019 alone, 79% of the United States had at least 1 social media profile (statista.com). For solopreneurs and small businesses, social media advertising is your gold mine.
Running Breezy Copy, I made sure to create a social media profiles on some of the most popular social media services. I currently run accounts of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, and I am in the process of setting up my Google+ account as we speak. Social media is so important not only for advertising, but it’s a great way to interact and engage with some of your followers! I always set aside at least an hour everyday to chat with other copywriters and graphic designers. Whether it’s directly messaging them, or even liking and commenting on their posts, it’s important to start building a solid network of people you can chat with that know your industry and if you’re lucky, they may have some customers/clients for you to take on!
The main reason why advertising on all of your social media accounts is important is simply casting a large net. If you just stick to LinkedIn and Instagram, you’re limiting your reach to people. Don’t you want EVERYONE to see what services or products you offer? I sure do! That’s why I try to post daily on social media to keep my audience updated on what’s going on.
I know there are some days where you just don’t feel like sitting down and creating content. I make all of my content myself so I understand those days where you feel like just sitting on the couch after a long day of work. When I have days like this, I always have at least 10 back-up posts that I can post at any time! I use Canva to make my graphics and it has helped step up my social feed so much! If you plan on making some graphics, I highly recommend Canva! If you use the Facebook or Instagram post template, it works as the correct size for most social media posts!
